Getting started
Devix Phone Field adds an international phone field to WooCommerce checkout, Contact Form 7 and WPForms. Visitors get country search, flags and formatting as they type. Your store gets numbers it can call, checked on the server and saved in one format.
Install
- Download the plugin zip from this page's Download button.
- In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, and activate it.
- Open Settings → Phone Field.
It requires WordPress 6.5 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer. WooCommerce, Contact Form 7 and WPForms are optional; the plugin uses whichever ones are active.
Settings
| Setting | Default | |
|---|---|---|
| Default country | Your WooCommerce store country | For numbers typed without a country code |
| Start on the visitor's country | On | Detected on their device from the time zone and language. No request is made |
| Countries at the top | none | e.g. AE, SA, PK |
| Only these countries | all | Restricts the list and the server check |
| Mobile numbers only | Off | Rejects landlines, both in the browser and on the server |
| Save numbers as | +971 50 123 4567 |
Or E.164: +971501234567 |
| Use on | WooCommerce, CF7, WPForms | Plus CF7's own [tel] fields if you want |
| Appearance | Dial code on the button, SVG flags, match the theme |
The settings page includes a live preview field.
What happens on your site
- Your theme's input stays as it is. The country button sits over the start of the field, so borders, colours and sizes don't change.
- Numbers are checked twice: as the visitor types, with a clear message, and again on the server, which is the check that counts.
- Valid numbers are saved in the format you chose, in orders, emails and form entries.
- Everything is bundled with the plugin. Country data, flags and scripts load from your own site, and only on pages with a phone field.
