Changelog
Every release of Laravel Prayer Times, newest first. Breaking changes are flagged.
v1.0.1
15 Sep 2026
Fixed#
today is now resolved in the configured timezone rather than PHP's. On a
server set to UTC it was still yesterday's timetable at one in the morning in
Dubai — the hour people are actually up for Fajr. Prayers::today(), the
@prayerTime directive and nightPortions() all go through the same clock.
- That clock is Laravel's, so
travelTo() in a test moves the timetable with
it. It read the system clock directly before, which made any test of it pass
or fail depending on the day it was run.
v1.0.0
12 Sep 2026
First release.
Added#
PrayerTimes::for() using Meeus's solar astronomy, verified in PHP against 1 210 adhan comparisons
— every time within a minute — and against 704 vectors from the JavaScript package, which it matches
exactly.
- Fourteen methods with each authority's published minute adjustments, and
country presets so the
timetable matches the mosque rather than the raw astronomy.
- Both madhabs, three high-latitude rules, and a polar resolution that keeps the prayers in order.
Anything inferred carries
estimated.
- Umm al-Qura's ninety-minute Isha, and the two hours it becomes in Ramadan.
next() with a countdown, current(), month() for a printable timetable, nightPortions() for
Qiyam, and the qibla with its compass point and distance.
- Laravel: the
Prayers facade reading one configured place, a @prayerTime Blade directive, a
php artisan prayer:times command (a day, or --month=2026-09), and config for coordinates,
country, method, madhab, high-latitude rule, elevation, time zone and your own minute adjustments.
